Revolutions!!!!!

Last class we talked about how people can spend a long time talking about what they disagree with, but at last nobody does anything to change the situation. Then, some people talked about their experiences on revolutions, and now I want to tell all of you my personal experience with this issue.
As you all know, I am from Colombia, a country of violence, guerrillas, kidnapping and drugs, as most of the people think. It is also a country where people don't give up, we fight for what we want, we try as hard as we can to fulfill our dreams. I guess the most important dream that all Colombians have is peace. We are tired of living scared for everything, we are tired for not being able to go wherever we want without thinking that something bad may happen to us. We are tired of crying for all the people that are killed or kidnapped by the guerrilla. We just want to live in peace.
We all have agreed that this situation is out of control and that no one is able to stop it. However, if we get together and try to make a change as a group we may be able to achieve something. So, that's what we have been doing for the last years. We are getting together to march against las FARC and in favor of the peace.
The first march that we did was February 4th of 2008. A group in facebook was made in order for people to know that all the people in the country will stop everything on this day, and go outside to the streets at noon and march for the peace and the liberation of all kidnapped people. This march was a total success, more than 13 million people from 183 cities of the world participated. The most important thing was that some days later, 13 kidnapped people were liberated! From that day one we have been repeating this marches, and everytime more people participate.
