Farcical Aquatic Ceremony?

I tried to avoid it, but it's simply unavoidable. Behold: A scholarly account of political structure:

Silly as it may be, this is precisely what happens in a society without a true authority. Though the "autonomous collective" proposal may sound appealing to some, it is subject to tyranny because there is no higher power - only equal power. Thus, the 'King of the Britons' comes along claiming supreme power vested into him by a 'farcical aquatic ceremony.' Predictable.

That being said, any sense of human authority only has power because give it to him. We elect officials to represent our interests and we submit to the law for the sake of society (or sometimes just because we're afraid of the consequences). Whenever the subjects (or rather, the oppressed) decide the ruler (oppressor) is no longer deserving of power, a revolution ensues. Thus, the storming of the Bastille. But still, one question resounds: To whom shall we submit?

Ultimately, any human authority holding no regard for He who sets authority in its place will, eventually, fall (Rom. 13:1). Though we often give class, culture, or human interest the power to reign over our lives, all of these will, too, fall.

So we must not put our hope in man alone. For nations rise and fall, but the Kingdom of our God will reign forever (1 Pet. 5:4).

As opposed to the King of the Britons, this King is coming on a real horse (Rev. 19:11).
