Lets make it more interesting.

Just cause to sin? Just cause to kill? These are themes we're all familiar with and have been wrestling with for the past few weeks.

So, I wanted to throw in another angle.

Being at a baptist college, mostly with people who claim to be republicans, this is a pretty important topic.

Abortion.

Are there any circumstances in which killing an unborn child is acceptable?

Most of us agree that it would be wrong for an irresponsible teenage girl to be fooling around and use abortion to "take care" of the consequences.

But what about for the woman who was brutally raped, and was impregnated by her attacker? If SHE has this baby, he or she could be a constant reminder of all the pain, torment, embarrasment, violation and all around torture of the experience. But does the baby deserve the punishment for the attacker's sin?

How about if the mother is married, and have 3 kids already, are living a very happy life and find out that they are pregnant again....and then they get the news that this baby could very well kill the mother unless they take "preventive measures".

These are pretty tough questions to answer....but I have to ask. What do you say?
