Justified Sin?

In class on Thursday, we discussed the morality of Sonia and Dunia's actions as well as Rodia's murders. We debated the issue of crimes versus sins. One student mentioned that all actions were justified to some extent. While there may be such a thing as justified wrongs in our eyes, does the law, or better yet, God see it that way? Will the judge and jury say, "Its okay that you robbed that bank. You needed the money." No, they would not. When standing before God on judgement day will he say to you, " It's alright that you killed that lady. She deserved it." Most certainly not. Also, God sees all sins as equal. There are no degrees of evil in the Lord's eyes. ALL have sinned. Humans just try to justify their sins to make themselves feel less guilty. The ends do not justify the means. There is no such thing as justified sin.

  2. I don't think they meant it as all sins are justifiable. Some sins are justifiable if they are done for the right reason. For instance, if shoot a person in self-defense, that is murder, which is a sin. But, because it's self-defense, it's justifiable. Of, if someone steals food to give to a starving child, it's a sin, but it's justifiable because the kid would die otherwise (which in my eyes would be murder).
