Thursday we were talking about the French Revolution among other ideas and tangents. I found myself thinking this in response: The freedom experienced by the American Colonials in a sense came before the American Revolution. Settling The New World and seeing success coming from their own hands with no Royals hands open to take from them had to be one of the most freeing feelings in a while for them. Yet Georgie Boy started to get involved. They had tasted the Fruits of Freedom and Liked it! They longed for it! (I could compare how the French sought out there freedom from oppression in a similar yet more dramatic way, but I won't) Consequently, Freedom is something that once you have you never want to give up. And why should you? Isn't it a self-evident, unalienable right? Just something to think about
