Something that really stuck out to me while reading over this declaration is the importance of political awareness. When this nation was founded, Government was established to aid society, not to rule it, and it was kept in check, much more so than it is today, or so it seems. I think so many of us have adopted the mindset 'the government will handle it,' 'the government knows best,' or whatever the case may be. We blindly follow on the assumption that this guy in a suit on tv really knows what he's talking about, or really has our best interest in mind.
Now i'm not an extremist, but i wholeheartedly believe that 'We the people' need to wake up, get involved, and start excercising our right to alter or abolish, if necesary, the government we have in place when it doesnt line up with what is right. Respect the government, yes. Thats a direct command from God. But Government is made to serve the people; Dont be mastered by it.

You are totally right. The government should not master us, that is wrong, and the Founding Fathers would be ashamed of it. We seriously need to limit how much power we give the government, because in the end, it will come back and bite us. Good Job!
